P2512 Diesel Discriminator

CONSPEC’s CO/NO Discriminator Sensor is an instrument designed to detect Carbon Monoxide produced by a smoldering fire in the presence of diesel exhaust fumes. This sensor uses two electrochemical cells; one for detecting CO and one for the detection of NO.

The onboard micro-controller processes the signals using a patented algorithm to determine the portion of CO due to diesel fumes. The resulting residual or Corrected CO (CCO) is the amount of Carbon Monoxide less the CO generated by diesel exhaust fumes. Using this communications port it is possible to not only read all the sensor information but send messages to change the sensor’s operating parameters. As some users may find it undesirable to allow the sensor to be configured “by remote,” this feature can easily be disabled.
